OREANDA-NEWS  In the first three months of this year, the output of high-tech products in the capital increased almost 2.7 times compared to the same period last year, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.

"On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, the city supports manufacturers of innovative products. More than 100 enterprises in the capital produce computer and optical equipment that covers the market needs for high-tech devices, in particular, communication equipment, transistors, computers, navigation and radar devices. In the first quarter, these companies increased production by almost 2.7 times compared to the same period in 2023," Liksutov was quoted as saying by the press service of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP).

Earlier, the mayor of Moscow reported a 17.9% growth in the capital's manufacturing industry in the first quarter. In particular, the production of machinery and equipment, computer equipment and optical products, food, medicines and other goods has increased.

As noted in the press service, favorable conditions have been created in Moscow for the development of production. Resident companies do not pay property, land, or transport taxes, and income tax has been reduced from 20% to 2%.

In particular, the resident of the SEZ Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center has created more than 50 high-tech startups and an investment fund to support innovative products. So, ZNTC became one of the founders of the first Russian manufacturer of personal 3D printers.
