OREANDA-NEWS  In the week from May 6 to May 12, Russian oil exports by sea fell to an eight-week low. The export of energy resources from Russia decreased by 3.05 million barrels per week, according to Bloomberg.

Oil flows from the major ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga on the Baltic coast and from Murmansk in the Arctic fell to an eight-week low, and the monthly average also decreased. According to analysts, during the week, 22.69 million barrels of Russian oil were loaded onto 30 tankers that went to sea. The daily reduction was about 440 thousand barrels — up to 3.24 million barrels per day. At the moment, crude oil supplies this year are about 30 thousand barrels per day lower than the average in 2023, the newspaper notes

At the same time, these data do not take into account cargoes identified as the Kazakh KEBCO variety. KazTransOil's cargoes are shipped in transit through Russia for export via Novorossiysk and Ust-Luga, and they are not subject to European Union sanctions or the price ceiling. Raw materials from the neighboring republic are mixed with Russian oil to create a single export grade.

Representatives of OPEC + reported a drop in average daily oil production in Russia by 154 thousand barrels. In April, the indicator fell to 9.292 million barrels. A month earlier, the country produced 9.446 million barrels per day. This trend was explained by the obligations of the Russian Federation to reduce the extraction of raw materials under the agreement of exporting countries.
