OREANDA-NEWS  By the end of April 2024, the average daily volume of marine exports of Russian diesel fuel decreased by 23 percent compared to the March figure and fell to the level of 762 thousand barrels. This is reported by RBC with reference to statistical data from Kpler analysts.

In annual terms, the indicator decreased even more — by 28 percent. At the same time, the drop in the average daily volume of marine exports of Russian diesel has been recorded since February 2024, in January the figure was 1.15 million barrels. Thus, over the past three months, the export of this type of petroleum products from the Russian Federation has decreased by a total of 388 thousand barrels per day.

It is noted that the marine supplies of Russian diesel decreased in most directions. The exception was China — exports to this country increased from 285 barrels per day to six thousand. Turkey and Brazil remained the main sales markets for the Russian Federation in April. Daily export volumes in the first direction amounted to 309 thousand barrels, in the second — 109 thousand. At the same time, both countries sharply reduced sea imports of this type of Russian petroleum products in comparison with March — by 20 and 22 percent, respectively.

Earlier, the RBC publication reported a sharp drop in sea exports of two more types of Russian petroleum products. By the end of April, the supply of fuel oil decreased by 24 percent year-on-year, to 815 thousand barrels per day. In turn, exports of naphtha (distilled gasoline) fell by 20 percent and amounted to 322 thousand barrels per day. The main reasons for such dynamics, Kpler analysts called the repair work at oil refineries and the consequences of attacks by Ukrainian drones on these facilities.
