OREANDA-NEWS  The death toll from a bus falling into a river in St. Petersburg has risen to seven people, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (TFR) reported.

"According to the GSU of the IC of Russia for St. Petersburg, the number of deaths as a result of a bus falling into the Moika River has increased to seven people," the ministry said in a statement posted on Friday on the telegram channel.

Earlier on Friday, it was reported that a passenger bus broke through the fence of the Kissing Bridge and fell into the river.

Upon the accident, the TFR opened two criminal cases.
